La Dolorita - Petare

America Developing Smiles has funded the Gonzalo Zabala day-care center since 1997, which is part of the The Dolorita Complex located in the outskirts of Caracas, Venezuela. This complex also includes a health care center, the Mama Chela pre-school, and Elementary.

The Gonzalo Zabala center cares for 44 children between the ages of 3 months and 4 years, while their mothers are taught basics skills to sustain their families. These children receive two meals a day and are bathed daily. In 2002, AMERICA DEVELOPING SMILES began supporting the “Mamá Chela” preschool, which provides education to 168 children between the ages of 3 and 6. In 2006 America Developing Smiles started funding the construction of the “Mamá Margarita” Elementary and High School to benefit 440 additional children. Today, in “LA DOLORITA” Center, America Developing Smiles keeps giving 800 children the opportunity to have a bright future.

Corralito - El Hatillo

America Developing Smiles has supported the Gustavito García Lujan Complex since 2001. Founded in 1986, the Gustavito García Lujan Complex located in El Hatillo, Venezuela, in an area called “Corralito”, includes an Elementary, a High School with about 400 children, and a day-care with over 100 children. Students finishing 12th grade get a fully credited high school diploma. These schools were the first recipients of funds raised through the “Sponsor A Smile Program”

Barquisimeto

Since 2015, America Developing Smile has funded two preschools in Barquisimeto, Lara. Margarita Occhienna preschool gives service to 100 children and is located in the heart of ADS Center Maria Auxiliadora in Parque Ayacucho. Madre Mazzarello preschool serves 129 children in two shifts and is part of the ADS Center Padre Viganó in Barrio San José. Both infant schools are a welcoming and safe environment where teachers and Damas Salesianas work together to educate, nourish, and inspire their children.

Maracaibo

Located in Maracaibo, Zulia, Centro ADS La Chinita is the biggest educational center managed by Asociación Damas Salesianas in Venezuela. With ages ranging from 8 months old to 19 years old, this center provides education to 1,460 people. Since 2016, America Developing Smiles has been supporting infrastructure and feeding projects in this Center.

In 2008 and 2018, funds were directed to support Domingo Savio Preschool en Ciruma, Zulia. In 2018, Lya Imber de Coronil, a 130 children preschool in Caracas, is added to our beneficiary list. America Developing Smiles is committed to invest all the funds raised to benefit communities in need.

Maniapure

In 2012, America Developing Smiles supported health programs in the Centro ADS La Milagrosa located in the Amazon jungle between Caicara del Orinoco and Puerto Ayacucho. Asociación Damas Salesianas, in alliance with Fundación Proyecto Maniapure, offers health education programs and Telemedicine technology that considerably improve the quality of life of 5,000 patients from local indigenous communities. Since 2016, America Developing Smiles has allocated resources to specifically support this Center.

San José - Barlovento

In response to specific needs which have emerged over time, America Developing Smiles has provided aid to other Asociación Damas Salesianas centers in Venezuela. In 2004, America Developing Smiles funded a twice-a-day food program at the ADS pre-school and day-care centers in San José, Barlovento.

Valencia

In response to specific needs which have emerged over time, America Developing Smiles has provided aid to other Asociación Damas Salesianas centers in Venezuela. In 2004, America Developing Smiles funded a twice-a-day food program at the ADS pre-school and day-care centers in Valencia, Carabobo.

Both infant schools are a welcoming and safe environment where teachers and Damas Salesianas work together to educate, nourish, and inspire their children. Similarly, it also assisted with the purchase of the bakery equipment for the Centro ADS Don Bosco in Puebla, which provides technical training courses in computers and bakery and offer dental care facilities. Both bakery products and dental care services are provided at minimal cost to help cover operational costs of the center.
